Torso of a small Kore statue found on the Acropolis. It has been restored of three joining fragments. Her left arm which is now lost was worked separately.

The Kore is draped in chiton and over it has himation which falls symmetrically over her shoulders and was once decorated with painted ornaments. Her hair forms a mass on the back whereas three locks cover each side of her bosom. The severe damage of the statue’s surface caused by fire has been attributed to the destruction of the Acropolis during the Persian invasion in 480 BC.
